I bought the Windows Media PC that captures shows in DVR-MS format. I managed to use Graph Edit to create a Divx file. I used the filters in this order.

Inserted Audio Compression (Vorbis Encoder)
Insterted File Writer (Named file test.avi)
Insterted the Trombworks Filter Configurator
Insterted the Ogg Mux Filter
Insterted the Video Compression (Divx 5.02)

Connected the correct filters to their places and hit play graph.

File turned out ok and playable. However, when I try to open the file in Nanodub, it tells me it is an invalid file and cannot be opened.

I also tried the same filter setup replacing Vorbis with mp3 and get the same thing when trying to open it in Vdub.

Anyone have any ideas?

Insterted the Ogg Mux Filter
That created an ogm or ogg video file. You should try opening in VirtualDubMOD

It didnt create an ogm file. It muxed the audio and video into an .avi file. No luck either with VDubMod.

If you add a OGG Mux filter and use it, you create a ogm file, you can give it an .avi suffix, but it is still a ogm.

Rename the file to .ogm and open it with VirtualDubMOD

ok, heres my follow up. i open the file in vdubmod. I choose preview and i get video but no sound. I used direct stream copy for video and recompressed audio to mp3. When I play the file back all I get is video and no audio. Any suggestions?

also, when I try to save wav, it tells me no audio stream is available however when I play the file back it plays perfectly fine.
