On another forum had an argument about stuff. I said the US havee like at least 5,000 nukes.
he said no, they only have 5% of them active all the rest are in storage. And that there would be way less then 5,000.
So I did some research.
So by 2012 they hope to "only" have 1,700 to 2,200 nukes ready to go.
They currently have about 8,000 ready to go.
8,000 Nukes....
How many countries they plan on blowing up?
There are I think 193 countries in the world. Using Half of their "operational" nukes. 4000 thats 20 nukes per country. Each nuke being more powerfull then the hiroshima bomb. Some very very significantly.

As detailed in the Bush administration’s Nuclear Posture Review (NPR), the plan is to reduce the number of “operationally deployed strategic warheads� to 1,700– 2,200 by the end of 2012.
Surely all they need is a couple for each country that is not an "enemy".
