CCE with IFOEdit vobset

Hi All

This is my first re-encode with CCE, please excuse me if I am asking some dumb ass questions.

As you may or may not know Lord Of The Rings (Extened Edition) is the first movie that is sold with the feature film streching onto two DVD9's, I am trying to get disk one to fit onto one DVD-R, after using IFOedit to remove all the extra's I end up with the movie being 400mb to big, this is with all the menus extras etc etc removed, I need to know if I can import a DoIt4u project with the above procedure into CCE so I can re-encode and lose this 400mb excess?

did you try vobsplit to get rid of end credits? then create new ifos with ifoedit.

how are the ripped file scurred organised on your hard disk? CAn you play ALL the film in one go currently ? ie have you reauthored the contents from both dvds into a single logical unit?
