first off thanks for reading this thread.

Now the problems we are having are directly related to dvd2svcd.. how?

The reason is that when dvd2svcd creates an avs script FOR CCE it always works. however if we modifie it or make our own sciprt CCE wont accept it.

So I am wondering what is the dvd2svcd author doing so that CCE will properly loads his avs files?

Donīt know that :D
I ALWAYS change the suggestion of DVD2SVCD and work with Avisynth 2.5a!
Worked like a charm for me...

Kind regards

I never have an issue whether I create it myself or have DVD2SVCD make it.

In that thread I think your issue is that you are trying to use lines that DVD2SVCD never uses or least I have never seen such as:

Mpeg2Source("D:\Beta\Movies\Test\Test.d2v",cpu=4,iPP=True) The CPU and ipp lines I have never seen before.

Why don't you post your AVS that DVD2SVCD created and you say worked so it can be compared? I think you will see that it's different.

In the end there is nothing magical about the avs files made by DVD2SVCD. You can create these very same avs files on your own and they will work.

There is always a resize line in DVD2SVCD created AVS scripts as far as I know. So maybe there you go. Maybe with your dll's you need a resize method to make it work.

Believe me or not in the end there is no magic in the Avs files that DVD2SVCD creates. They are standard AVS scripts. They will work whether you create them by hand or if you have D2S create them.

You say if you remove something they don't work. Well have you ever considered that maybe they are needed for the dll's you are adding?

I run CCE 2.5 with and without D2S. I create AVS files with and without D2S. I use resize methods in some and in others I don't. In all cases they have worked unless something I did was illegal or a problem in Avisynth. I am far from an expert on Avisynth and I can get it to work. According to the version script I used D2S uses 2.0.6 of Avisynth. Maybe you are using a different version?

In your Avs file that I saw in that thread there are many things you are trying that D2S does not use or do.

Once again I will ask you to post both a working (from D2S) and a non working (hand made) Avs file. Until we see a working version that you have not shown us yet we cannot verify your results or go any further with this.

Right now this has just got more annoying.

Yuo were right theres nothing special about the avs files, its the way it loads them.;-)

I stoped dvd2svcd after it loaded the file and then reloaded it,played with the settings etc.. it worked perfectly. But wait it gets better! I opened the file in notepad changed NOTHING accept saved it under a different name, it wouldn't load :-( Now next up I restarted dvd2svcd and tried loading the original avs file that dvd2svcd made and it rejected it!!!!!

The only thing I can think of that dvd2svcd does apart from load the avs file is change the matrix. So I am going to download the CCE matrix patcher and see if applying that before loading an avs file helps.

@dvd2svcd,
Does dvd2svcd do anythin else apart from loading the matricesand the avs file?

The problem with the CCE matrix patcher for CCE 2.5 is that it is also a crack for CCE. So we cannot allow links to this as it violates the warez rule, even though I know you don't want it for that.
