Well, O.K.,
this is just a very basic question. I just wonder a bit. Is it really so problematic to display SVCD subtitles on the computer? I think it is quite easy to play such a beast (an SVCD) using DirectShow based players like WinDVD or PowerDVD. Is it just that noone is really interested in providing the appropiate support or is it just a technical problem?
My point is: I don't own a standalone, but I sometimes take an SVCD with me to watch at a friends house on a standalone DVD player. In order to know if my subtitles work I'd need a DVD player myself which isn't really what I like to do, i.e. buy one.
Please feel free to give me your opinion.
