View Full Version : PCM (.wav) into .txt or .rtf ?

It's perhaps a midwinter night dream of mine, but i've been looking for an application that would 'transduce' movies' dialogs recorded in .wav format into .txt or, better, into .rtf.
Subtitles translation would become so much easier with such a process.
So far my quest result is null.
I further learnt it appears voice recognition and consequent text dubbing', if you excuse the term, is still an incipient area.
I would however most appreciate any feedbak on this issue.

Regards,
HN

It's been asked a number of times before and the answer basically is: Such programs do exist, but they are really bad, bad enough to be useless (this is what I've been told, I've never tried them myself).
