I have a movie (vob files) in my hard disk.
I want to rip the subtitle from the vob file make some changes and
re-enter them in the vob file.
The reason is that I have some movies in english and I want to put
German subtitles in.
Tell me if there is a guide or the way to do that.

you need:

DVD Maestro
Chapter Xtractor
IFOUpdate
MaestroSBT
SRTtoSSA

first back up the dvd to your harddrive
if your sub is srt convert it to ssa now use MaestroSBT to make a dvd sub
now rip the dvd to files like movie.m2v and sound.ac3

no you can use this http://www.doom9.org/mpg/maestro2.htm guide and skip to [Finally! Authoring!]
dont use your dvd subs but the new one you made

SKIP THIS PART!!!!!!

Once the chapters have been imported, REMOVE the video from the timeline and replace it with the “output-drop.m2v” file. This will allow for proper subtitle import. You MUST NOT import the subtitles when the other video file is on the timeline! They will NEVER be in sync if you do, even if you replace the file with the “output-drop.m2v” file later. You MUST place the “output-drop.m2v” file on the timeline BEFORE importing the subtitles.

You will need this part
Right-click on the subtitle line and import your *.SON subtitle file you created earlier.
