I attempted to Create a VCD from SIGNS and fit it on 1 CD for an EXPERIMENT to see how the quality would look. These were the settings I THOUGHT would accomplish this:
> MISC: OUTPUT FILE TYPE: MPEG-1
> BITRATE: Use 1 CD for ALL BOXES.
> Min. bitrate: 300
> Max. bitrate: 2530
> Avg. Bitrate: 899

3 Things happened I don't understand -
> 1 - The end result says SVCD created even thou I used MPEG-1
> 2 - I ended up with 2 files instead of 1 like i wanted.
> 3 - It made the First CD 825Mb / Second cd 277Mb.

What do settings do I have to change to get 1-CD as the end result??

THANKS for ALL replies.....

PS. I know the quality will be GREATLY reduced I'm ONLY doing this as an experiment
to see for MYSELF just how bad it will be. I've already made an SVCD with 2 disks that came out GREAT..!!

1) It always says that regardless. It's just a line saying it's done.

2) You should use TMPG for Mpeg-1, it works and looks better then CCE for it.

3)A VCD is suppose to be 1150 Kbit CBR encoding. A XVCD can be anything. You need to load the Vcd-setting.ini.

This movie on one CD is going to look aweful, but go ahead and try it if you want.

The most likely reason for this is that BBmpeg was set to Mux mpeg-2 and not Mpeg-1. This would cause many problems and will unless you use the defaults in the VCD template. If you change the bitrate you are going to have to find the mux rate on your own by trial and error. Mpeg-2 will work by setting it to automatic, but I have never got Mpeg-1 to work this way. Do a search for BBmpeg mux rate.
