Short 20 second clips ?????

I have done a search but to no avail, and i am sure this has been covered somewhere before so i know I am going to get in trouble. I am in the British Army and I have been given a major fast ball and im stuck like hell. I have got to put together 25, 20 second clips from varios DVD's. i know how to copy DVD to SVCD and in actual fact ive just baught a personal DVD RW so thats why I have been lumped with a crappy job so please go easy on me lads.

So what do i want to do ??

Convert varios clips from full film DVD's and put them together on 1 SVCD or 1 DVD.

I am hopeing like hell there is a way to do this without riping all the dvd's and converting all the dvd to mpeg2 because at 25 full dvd'd thats gona take 25 days and i only have 4.

So if you can give me any help here I would apreciate it

read the guide of smartripper and rip only the wanted part to hd, the with dvd2avi put them together.(also there is guide)

In dvd2avi you can see which vob file contains the clip you want.
