I have been using DVD2SVCD for about a year and have successfully backed up many DVDs with CVD subtitles, so I am not exactly a newbie. However, lately I have encountered several DVDs that won't let me rip subtitles. DVD2SVCD always hang during subtitle verification and never got to the selection dialog box. This happened to all 3 of the "Back to the Future" trilogy DVDs and "Planet of the Apes" 2001 version. If I skip sub rip, then all works fine.
I don't really need the subtitles, but it is something nice to have. It just bugs me that I don't know why some DVDs are so special that I can't rip their subs. Does anyone know why? Has anyone else ecnountered this problem?
