Hi there. I made an image using Mode2Cdmaker 1.5a. Opened that image in Nero, burnt it. installed Direct Show filter from riff-cdxa-filter-test5. When i try to open Cd - all files have .dat extension and everything is unreadable. First i made a 770 mb xvid movie on 700mb cd. Tried to open it with any player - as a result player continues readng cd untill i end the task. Than made some small clip the same way. Tried to open it, after minute of thinking player returned "unknown file format" Tried different file formats, like mp3 divx, xvid - the same result.
Can anyone explain how can i read these cd's? Or maybe i am doing something wrong? Thanks in advance for any replies

Try to open the XCD in Graphedit and tell us what filters are inserted into the graph by DirectShow. It may be possible that your CD-ROM drive has problems with XCD :( ... what model is it ?

And please go to my web page and get the latest XCD filter test6b release, which comes in a nice NSIS installer. Test5 are outdated and may not work for all formats.
You also need to associate DAT files with your Media Player in order to load them.

If you use an LG DVD-ROM crap drive: some of them can't read these cd's.
If you use a cyberdrive burner: you must use clonecd outout and write in raw-dao mode!

Thanks DeXT, After installing riff-cdxa-filter-test6b-nsis.zip everythings works great with all file types!! Almost all my cd-roms read these cd's except for toshiba 2x scsi cdrom (but it hardly reads even regular 700 mb cd's:) )
Another question: i heard that putting OGM files on mode 2 cd's is better than regular avi's. Is It Truth? and if yes, why?
Thanks for all you help!
