Am ripping Exit Wounds region 2, trying to get one of the extras (music video)which starts half way through the last vob on the second vts. If I use smartripper or dvddecryptor in movie mode, the result is a file which plays for a few seconds only with no picture. If I use raw mode with dvd decryptor I get an m2v file which plays ok but cannot be imported into maestro. I then tried to demux the whole vob with vobedit. This m2v also plays fine with powerdvd, but get media error when importing in to maestro.
Anyone tell me what is wrong?

Dont use 'Raw', use 'Demux'.

Demux gives a file that is correct in size, but is unplayable and will not import in to maestro. I can extract the bit I want by using dvd2avi to demux the entire title set then chopping out what I need. I just didn't understand why decryptor could not demux a workable file after recognising 3 video streams in that title set.

probably something to do with stream headers. Ripping from the middle of files does that sometimes.

Did you do a pulldown on the m2v before importing the asset?

No, it was a pal source.
