Could I somehow use DVD2SVCD to encode the MPEG-2 stream extracted from DishPVR? These files have .m2v extension, and they seem to have interlaced MPEG-2 content. People "usually" process them manually in DVD2AVI and then in CinemaCraft - same steps as DVD2SVCD is going through, so I was wondering if DVD2SVCD could be used to automate the procedure.
Thanks!

What do you suppose DVB/PVA support is for?

Thanks for the pointer... Never realized that PVA is what I need.
I wonder whether it will accept the .m2v & .mp2 pair produced by DishRIP...

If it's an MPEG-2, it should work. That's not to say it will, but it should. If need be, you can always do the rename-to-.vob-and-load-as-dvd method. Don't forget to create an IFO for it with IFOEdit.
