Hi, pls forgive any stupidity here since I'm totally new with XviD.
I think XviD rocks but had some surprising experiences while watching
movies with it. Some of my friends encode still with Nic's version dated 28.06.02 while I obediently upgrade to latest versions and found Koepi's Latest Build 03012003-1. These two don't match for some reason as I get psychedelic pictures. Reinstalling Nic's version gets me to see picture perfect but then it won't work with my other movies.
I've tried to find the answer and also installed Nic's XviD Decoder 291202 to no avail at both versions. Fiddled with ffdshow but that doesn't work as well. Have I got a bug do I need an extra filter?

Nic's filter is actually bugged.
You must use simple filter from newest uManiac's or Koepi's build for 'b-frames+q-pel' decoding.

Found the latest uManiac Alpha from yesterday 15:10, which didn't help
but no Koepi's build for 'b-frames+q-pel' decoding. Any link for me?

Download latest ffdshow-alpha from sourceforge. It plays back everything I have ever encoded with anything. Pretty much anyway. Select "Xvid" but not "Use Xvid", which tends to crash these days.

Thx sam_b, didn't, guess I have one of those odd rips, it's
done with Nic's 280602 and when I bring that one back it'll work
no other will do it, also no other filters must be installed...
Weird..
