Strange ...did not have this before ....I did install my Sony DRU500a yesterday to the same system ..i wonder whether that caused the problem ...but i think not...i tried to reinstall DVD decrypter ...but this also has not solved the problem ....reinstalled force aspi also no luck:(....any ideaS????

If it isn't a region free dvd, try changing the dvd region. AGID sounds like an authentication error of some sort. But, of course, Lightning will know a lot better than me.

What is the exact error? 'Failed to get AGID!' ?
Do something for me quickly...go into the settings and enable I/O Debug Mode.
Then restart the program.
For each and every I/O error box that comes up, copy its contents to the clipboard using the CTRL+C key combination and paste it into your next post on here using CTRL+V.
I will then take a look and see whats happening.
Also, copy and paste the entire contents of the log window. :)

Hello Lightning,
i´ve burned a Regio-free DVD-Image (created with DVD Maestro) with my new Pioneer A05 on a original Pioneer High-Speed DVD-RW (2-speed).
My Software-Player (Power-DVD) plays the DVD. My XBOX says: Yes, there is a Video-DVD and tried to play to movie - but the screen remains black.
With DVD-Decrypter 3.1.4.0 i git the same "AGID" error-message.
Here is my log and in the attachment you can see the error-msgbox.
