I told DVDDecrypter to strip just angle 1 from Sixth Sense.

After burning, it is certainly better on parts (such as where had different french text for his notes), but at the opening and ending credits - it is hosed when playing on a stand alone player. At the ending credits, it just goes into a loop.

I created new IFOs after I decrypted ( VTS Sectors, etc. - all usual steps), so I'm curious as to why it would have a problem.

When played on PowerDVD, I can see only the English credits - so I'm real curious as to why this is happening?

If the disc has angles, I recommend you use IFO mode. Its not clear from your post if you did already, or if you used file mode with angle processing. IFO mode is much better.

LIGHTNING UK! - yes, I had set the preferences for file mode to strip angle 1.

So, the proper way would be to go into ISO mode, and to select just one angle (generally the 1st for english)? I only have to click on one angle and then rip?

LIGHTNING - yes, I ripped in IFO mode with only the 1st angle selected (which was the default) and the problems went away.

Should I strip in IFO mode always, or just for multi-angle DVDs? IFO selects the same files (the largest ones) by default just like file mode, right?

Well IFO mode is great, but it all depends on what you actually want to do with your ripped dvd. Play it, encode it etc.

For playing back from the hdd, you should use ISO mode, or File mode - ripping ALL files.

For VCD, SVCD or DivX, IFO or File mode - depending on the program you encode it with!

For DVDR, IFO, File or ISO mode depending on the size of the dvd!

All have their +'s and -'s.
