way to mount .NRG image like .ISO?

After creating an image with ImageTools, I'd like to check whether it it has any problems before burning.

Is there a way to mount a Nero .NRG image like it is possible to mount an .ISO image with Daemon Tools?

use imgtool 0.89 to create ISO image. NRG image cannot be mounted, and I don't know about NRG=>ISO conversion which is useless anyway as imgtool 0,89 do it directly.

But then I'd loose all the fixes and update to ImgTool.

Any idea why this was pulled from ImgTool? Seems like it would be a very useful feature?

yuo can mount nrg files with Daemon tools,

just make sure you select All Files (*.*)

DaveQB - Just tried that with an ImgTool .99.7 created .NRG file - and Daemon tools 3.26 said 'unable to mount image - invalid image file.

Nero provides an image reader for their own image format - and I just installed it an it seems to work when viewing with PowerDVD.

Daemon tools suggest the use of this tool in their help file (gotta remember to read those pesky things).

hmm i got 3.16 here, all image files load.

i tried to make an image with imgTool of some DVD files, but i lost it, i have no idea where it creates it and a search cant find it, so i cant test that here for ya
i dont like the Nero reader as it is limited in what it reads, i rather Daemon as it mounts everything

try making the image with Nero, and then mounting with Daemon, thats what i do all the time to check if CD auto load right etc before burning

hmm interesting...
i finally made an .img file with img tools and mounted it with Daemon tools

Daemon tols 3.16 and imgtools 089 (?)

maybe a bad image file there ???

Daemon Tools 3.29 works for mounting nrg images, no need to select all files, it's one of the extension listed under all images. Also ahead has a virtual drive usable for mounting images that comes with Nero.

hmm just updated but its the same, it doesnt list .nrg as a possible extension, still have to go to All File (*.*)

DEAMON Tools is only allowed to support the NRG format if the Nero image tool is installed. If its not, DT wont open them.

DVD Decrypter 3.1.5.0 has a little feature that will allow you to get DT to open basic ImgTools NRG files without having 'another' virtual drive tool (ie. the Nero one) installed.

I don't know if other mods like it, but I don't.
You use colors and i think you are the only one in the full forum, but why not if not too much agressive. In this case it's like a rainbow with awful colors.
At least, if it was relevant information about your site full of nice DVD related freeware.. But why useless info on your PC ?

So, please, move to harmony with all other people in this forum with a small nice signature.
It could be relevant to Rule #7 (same idea, not to overflow forum with personal data) or to rule #4 (to not respond at all to my first request and ignore me, which is a lack of respect.)

Yes, with the Nero Image program installed, Daemon Tools can mount the image - and it seems to work fine.
