Hi All
I use the excellent dvd2dvd-r (hereafter referred to as DV) to do backups
My config (1.1 Ghz CPU, 256 Mb Ram, XP Pro SPK1, dvd2dvd-r 1.3.4 ifoedit .95 and cce2.5)
When the film does NOT require recompression then DV can automate the reauthor process within ifoedit successfully so it seems that the integration between DV and IFoedit is functional in general terms
However when the film requires recompression (3 pass) DV is able to start Ifoedit ok but the reauthoring process fails with an illegal command err message
I'm guessing that this is because CCE is not releasing resources quickly enough to keep up with the automation processes between DV and ifoedit but then again maybe it's not - maybe it's an XP thing. BTW I have disabled screen savers etc so this is not a factor
Has anyone else encountered this or been able to cure it??
BTW for Derrow watchers - it seems he is alive and well as I received (being a grateful donor) a copy of dvdsplit 0.6 yesterday - haven't tried it yet (too mean to use 2 disks very often)
Many thanks for any comments/suggestions
