obviously i can't say "DVB" as that's not hires really...
only USA DTV is....(so far and to the best of my knowledge)

so: what's the subjective impression on HDTV versus DVD?

how much sharper proper DTV transmission will look compared to
NTSC DVD's ?
(as 1080i MUST look better than 480i...)
(obviously it would be harder for you guys to compare it to PAL DVD's,right?)


i'm asking because i'm not satisfied with pal dvd sharpness at all...
so much so that i'm not willing to buy dvd-player.....

hdtivo is on the way. there will be a standalone and a directv version. that's a spicy meatball.

hd is good in theory, except for the part where ota had absolute junk in 1080i the last time I checked, I'm talking about cbs.
