I do the following

1. capture of NTSC @ 29.97 fps.

2. I make a 24fps interim file via virtualdub

3. then encode it using TMPGenc.

at what point do I AC3 my sound? do I save a WAV from virtualdub at point one or two? or do I make an MP2 via tmpgenc and then convert that into a AC3 via besweet or HeadAChe?

want to make sure it syncs up okay. alternatively, do I just import a PCM wav into maestro and then tell maestro to make it into an AC3 and sync it to the video?

oh come one, I can't believe no one has a suggestion. I realise all the methods I listed can work, but which one gives me the best chance of synching the audio?
