I am getting the error message "INTERNAL ERROR: additional data required but no free space in input buffer" when I try to mux a dts stream with video regardless of number of audio streams with a dts stream when created with surcode dvd pro. Dts streams ripped from DVD's do not generate this error.

What does the error message actually mean in english as their are few options available in surcode when encoding. Both streams (ripped and created) are different material - one home footage the other DVD rip and are both 48Khz 1536 kbps.

The resulting vob contains no dts but the ifo file indicates a dts stream. Powerdvd shows this stream but obviously their is no sound.

The dts stream created by surcode can be played ok by powerdvd on its own before trying to mux with the video.

Any suggestions?

Paul

I found by accident that PowerDVD has its own idea on DTS files.
I was ripping DTS tracks with Vobrator - Just keeping the DTS and Video tracks.
PowerDVD played the video OK but no audio.
I found that if you changed the ID of the DTS track to 88 it would then play in PowerDVD. Vobrator has the option to change IDs.

Check your VOB file and see what the track ID is?

Hope this helps
Cheers:)

I was having the exact same problem. My Philips DVP-642 would not play the DTS audio on a VOB with just a DTS track. I've got the DTS - Digital Experience demo/impact trailer (the exploding CD) and I want that to play correctly when I have the Philips hooked up to my DTS/Dolby decoder.

Vobrator did not work for me. I tried changing the track IDs to 0x80, 0x87, and 0x8A. Nothing.

All I'm doing is dumping the raw VOB files onto a DVD or CD. My philips will display the video without any problems, and VOB+AC3 plays audio perfectly. VOB+DTS does not.
