Example 6 episodes
Would the best or easiest solution be make a menu with 6 buttons and then tie each episode to a corresponding button?
thanks Jim
basically each episode is a movie...yes? :scared:

What's the best software to do this. Nothing fancy just want to have a static pic for the background, the buttons and labels. (maybe a music track would be nice)
TIA :D

Photoshop or equivalent photo editing program for the video part. In the aurhoring program u will mux the audio and video together.

hi,
tumbar: Or you could drop the remaining episodes on top of the first PGC (in case of Scenarist) and tie the 6 buttons to corresponding Program-icons. The episodes would then play after each other beginning with the one you choose from the menu. It's just as easy and you'll have a corrected timeline, otherwise you'd have to make 6 Title folders and drop each episode in one to get a correct timeline.

If you want to make it nice and easy use Spruce Up, Its really simple, just rename the .ac3 (sound) to be the same as .vts eg episode1.vts, episode1.ac3, drag the video in it will bring the sound in, use the built in buttons drag each episode to each button and your finished!

The files I have are in vts_xx_x.VOB (2 sets) and .IFO files as ripped with DVDDecrypter. I just want a simple menu to select the episodes.

When you rip the files (I use smart ripper) select the file mode and demux to new file for the PGCs you want (main movie obvious by its size) this will create a .m2v file (movie) and a .ac3 and a .dts Import the m2v file with the same name as the ac3 and bingo the rest it easy, the ripping guide shows you to do demux ripping, DVD2AVI also does it. The only way for direct import of VOB that I have found is in Scenerist

discutter: Scenarist can't import multiplexed assets like VOB.
slimboy: I hope you're not looking for an easy way to get a menu within, say, 30 minutes? It doesn't exist, or use crap like DVDit which has some stoopid prefab menus. By now i think Scenarist works fastest for me.
