How divx and mpeg codec works

I'm looking for a tecnical and detailed guide which explain how divx and mpeg4 codec works: explantion of b-frams, i-frames, quarter pixel etc...
Any suggestion??

How much do you already know? You listed some of the more advanced features of Mpeg4. Make sure you understand the basics first.
