Up until yesterday everything was fine, I was encoding DIVX to DVD via Vegas Video 3 fine, it often showed both the video and audio, or if not then it was only the audio it wouldn't play. I had to format my hard drive and reinstall windows and of course all my software and codecs. No problem I thought, but even after re-installing every codec I can find, Vegas Video refuses to play Divx video, yet it used to fine. Even Divx files it used to play wont play now, so I know it isn't just due to some files working and some not.

Does anyone have any idea what to do ? I assumed it used the Windows Media Player for its playback, but obviously not as WMP does indeed play Divx files okay. I am trying to find more codecs, but I have Divx 4, 5.02, and all the microsoft ones installed.

Can anyone suggest a way to get it to work ?

You can get a 30 day trial of Vegas Video 3 from the below link, just in case anyone is bored enough to experiment with it.

Well, seems the Nimo codec pack sorted the problem out, cheers anyway guys.

One thing I am curious about, is there a codec manager at all ? So I can manage the codecs I have got ?
