avi 2 mpeg

i'm having trouble finding a program to convert avi's to mpeg's so i can burn it as a vcd. i d/l a few programs but it made the mpeg's like 5 times larger eg. 700 mb avi file ==> 3 gb mpeg file

am i doing something wrong?

that you download tmpgenc from the doom9 downloadsection, help yourself to the doom9 avi2vcd guide and procede as told there.

but hey... mpeg files will always be bigger, if you want to keep the quality, but see the guides for details!

also if you use Nero to burn it will convert the avi's to MPEG for you.............. but I strongly recomend you don't do that. It's just a suggestion if you don't really care about the quality.
