Hi!

For testing (and to show me that there is really a difference in function) I tried to mux a VBR MP3 by using the CBR MP3 function in VirtualDubMod(1.4.13 b14328)... and it muxed without any comment or message.

Is this a bug or has the user to pay attention that the MP3 is really CBR and not VBR? (I don't think, that CBR and VBR Muxing is internally the same??) Would it be hard to make a check if it is really a CBR file?

Thank you in advance...

P.S.: I don't want to blame someone or bleat in any way. I thank you for your work...

I did some more testing with CBR:

I have a Xvid movie here. Sound is CBR (double checked with the MP3 frame analyzer encspot 2).

Muxed with nandub: Working
Muxed by adding a RIFF header with DSPgurus BeSplit and muxing with VirtualDub (Orginal): Working
Muxed with VirtualDubMod in VBR Mode: working

Muxed with VirtualDubMod in CBR Mode: NOT working!!

What is not working: In the beginning the movie is in sync (I think; can't really say that it's not). But going on the movie goes out of sync so at the end of the movie there is almost 0.5 seconds difference.

So I think something is broken here in CBR muxing (or, what can always be the reason: I'm an idiot...)

Thank you...

Just for those, who has had the same problem:

I posted this on Sourceforge and Stream9 almost instantly fixed it and posted it to CVS. So I hope it is working now...

Thanks again from here to Stream9...
