Has anyone installed Visual C 6 or Pro onto a XP system, is it safe? I'm more worried about the old DLL's that vis c tends to install. I'm assuming I just need to use the Win2k SDK's or DDK's right? There's some stuff I want to work on off & on in my spare time, plus I think I might want to checkout DX9 & see why its taken MS near 2-3yrs to finally release it! Plus I'm getting a little rusty. Hope I don't have to get Visual Studio 7...
