why the hell isn't there one? i have a p2 333 which encodes at about 4-5 fps...it takes 24 hours to complete a rip...it would be nice to pause the encoding process and use my computer every now and then..i mean i can do stuff while it's encoding but first of all encoding in nandub chews up mad resources..second of all, i'm worried i'm going to screw the compressed file up by working with my computer while it's encoding..would having a pause feature be possible or is there some reason why this feature doesn't exist?? it would be nice, that's all i know.

If you set the Priority to Idle VirtualDub does not slow down your PC, because it only encodes the video if the cpu has nothing to do. If you have a software cpu cooler, you should set the priority to lowest.
