If I have a DVD-R of a concert and want to edit it (make new chapters, menu, delete extra space at the end). What is the best way to go about this? I know I would probably have to rip it with DVD Encrypter or something like that, but I am not sure how to get it to a format that would allow me to do those things I want done?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Eric

you'll probably need more than a ripper...
maybe an authoring program like ifoedit to rip unwanted extras.
or a more powerfull authoring software, that will allow you to create menus... you can search for that in the guides forum....

if you're new to this whole ripping and authoring stuff..
i sugest you start with the ifoedit basic guide...

Thanks for the response.
This isn't really an "official" release its something someone did for me, and they messed up all the chapters, and left tons of running time at the end. So i just want to start from scratch so to speak and fix the chapters, and delete the end time.
I have used IFOedit and figured out how to get rid of the unwanted time at the end but have not figured out how to fix chapters.
Thanks again.

i think you can change the chapters "adress" in ifoedit...
by the way... which concert is it???

well i will try and figure it out. the only way i could think to do it was create a .d2v file from DVD2AVI. Then put that in Tmpgenc and reencode it and then use an authoring program like SpruceUP. But I am not sure if i am losing quality by rencoding it.
It is a White Stripes concert.
