I used to rip kinda slow (about 2.5x to 3x) i installed force aspi and i rip a lot faster, BUT now i can see small errors in the video stream an a lot of errors in the audio stream. could this just be my drive (2 years many rips) going bad or am i right to blame it on the the new aspi.

if it is the aspi, is it easy to uninstall?

ne help would be greatly appreciated.

What OS are you using and what program to rip?
ForceASPI comes with its own uninstall program. probably something like 'RemASPI.bat'

Windows 2000 SP3
DVDDecryptor (latest ver.)

I belive it is some problem with my computer. i can rip (using dvddecryptor) on another win2k machine just fine.

It is about time for a full format agian so i thing i will just start from the beginning.
do you advise one to use forceaspi over the stock windows aspi layer for any other reason other that speed

Speed should not be effected at all by the aspi layer you use. by default, dvd decrypter doesnt even use it on nt/2000/xp/.net
