I just backed up Silent Bob and Jay Strike Back. The first part of the movie is great. Though at the end, it seems that there is horizontal tearing and as the camera pans around or as the characters are walking it seems a little jumpy. I looked at the begining of the movie again and didn't see any problems there with the scenes moving... I followed the robshot guide and the only thing I did different was to have it do two passes instead of one...
Put the whole movie together in Maestro if you were wondering ;)
Thanks for any insight into why I am having this problem.

does anyone have any ideas on this? I actually just ran into the problem again when I tried using the plugin version to do some encoding of some home video stuff.

I run into the same problem the other day.
I did xfiles season 4 back in summer and saved it in a Lynx dvdr that played perfectly then in my Affrey.
The day before I tried to watch it again, but in vain. Affrey couldn't play it at all and my new Philips 723 managed it but jumpy.
That is not all. I did Godfather yesterday that palyed jumpy in Philips but the same disk OK in Affrey.
So it seems that the combination of media's quality and the player's algorithms r crucial.

I have had problems just playing these files back on the computer too. It isn't only the DVD players - it is also the software ones and I actually just made an mpeg (in Adobe Premiere) and it wasn't jumpy, but the scenes seemed to sort of tear horizontally.
