Hi there,
I'm not a real newbie but there are things i don't know ^_^

I have a movie and want to encoded it with XviD, therefor i want to know how well it compresses with XivD. I know i can run a check via gordian knot using DivX5 but is the compressability of XviD and DivX the same?
Imho it's not ... so how do i do a check using XviD?

Hi-

Just make your .avs the same way as usual, like you're going to do a compress check with DivX5. But then take the .avs you made and open VDub and run a 2 Pass-1st Pass using the XviD codec. If you need help with that, follow Doom9's or iago's guide.

When done, Load the .stats file in GKnot and it will give you the percentage.
