Hi. In the dix guide, it's said that if I want permanent subtitles, I should load the .ifo file vobsub has created. Isn't there a mistake? Shouldn't I load the .idx or the .sub file vobsub has created? I have also already loaded the .idx file and it works...so, what is the .sub file?
Secondly, when I open the .idx file, gordian automatically select the first noise filter option (in the case just next to the subtitles one). Should I leave it checked or not?
Finally, to deinterlace, when I check "separate fields", gordian stops, telling me that the number of frames is not equal to the one calculated. But when I check "field deinterlace", it works...Any idea?
PS: I have installed both the rippack and the systempack
Thank you for your help

idx and sub belong together, have to have the same name and are always used both. it's true that the ifo is not needed anymore like it used to be with older vobsub versions.
it doesn't matter wich of the files you select.

"Put noise filter before resizing" has no effect as long as "Noise Filter" is set to "none". leave it checked if you encode with subs.

press the "preview" button to check if the frameserver is ok before you start encoding. maybe select Subtitles "after Borders".

are you aware of the fact that you can watch subtitles with direct vobsub WITHOUT permanently encoding them into your avi (select different languages, turn them on or off,...).
