some fiddling last night got me my capture capability back in virtual dub but it's just like it was before.
when I capture, it doesn't give me a 29.97 fps avi. sometimes I get 30.45, other times 29.1 or 28.95.
at least this is what file properties tells me and on the capture window, it shows the average bitrate as around this. never do I get 29.97
so when I ivtc using decomb in an avisynth script I don't get 23.976.
is this a big problem? for dvd playback? should I be capturing in say premier instead or will you never get 29.97 as a capture fps.
how do I ensure that I can end up with a 23.976 fps so I can mpeg using tmpgenc with 3:2 pulldown set for a proper NTSC file.
or does tmpgenc correct the avi into a 23.976 file during the encoding process?
