Hi all, first posting on your site. so please bear with me if this subject has been addressed before, I did a search but couldn,t see an answer to my query.
I have a home consumer (not PC) dvd writer, and I am waiting for delivery of a Pioneer A05 for the pc which I hope to have Thursday/Friday of this week.
The non pc writer uses dvd-r and has a facility whereby I can set the record time I need to put on the disc, example being HARRY POTTER Philosophers Stone, this has a playtime of 2hrs 27mins, the writer then calculate the best quality it needs to fit the blank disc.
my query is this: now that I have the film on a standard 4.7 DVD-R disc (macrovision already removed), would I be able to copy this on the fly in a PC, or read image to hard drive then write back to disc, along the same lines as an audio or data image but obviously using a dvd reader and writer.
Has anyone used this method?, any imput would be much appreciated.
thanks roly :)
P.S. If, as I suspect this will not work, would an administrator be kind enough to remove this thread so I will not look quite a tit when I post other requests in the future.
