we run win2000 at work. I got win98 at home. I just bought a capture card from work. the asus problems are pissing me off. it came with maestro, cool.

only I can't get it to run under windows98. it says it needs mfc42u.dll

if I put that dll into windows\system, it still won't run. is there some way to trick out maestro and make it run under win98.

and before anyone asks. putting win2000 on isn't an option.

most of my other hardware is not supported under win2000 and I am not buying a bunch of new stuff just for this. I already shelled out for the graphics card.

You say Win2000 isn't an option, but what about dual boot? Install Win2000 as the secondary OS, then only use it to do final authoring with Maestro... crappy workaround, but it would work. That way, you could keep 98 and use it all the time, and just boot to 2000 when you need to use Maestro.

Or, use another authoring program. I think one of the requirements is that it runs under an NT OS, which includes 2000 and XP.
