Hello!

I have a question concerning the read speed of dvd decrypter:

While ripping, there is the "read rate" shown under Information in the program window. There are now two numbers in brackets. The first one seems to be the actual read speed ( e.g. 2.0) because it takes about 46 minutes for me to rip that dvd. What is the number in the second bracket (17.8) ???

Why can't I rip faster?

System specs: 7200 IBM HDD ATA100, Toshiba DVDROM 16x, Adaptec ASPI Drivers are installed!

I had the same problem using SmartRipper. I can try what I want I only get 2.0 read speed. Is this a fact I can't change due to my dvdrom capabilities or is there an option I forgot?

Thank you people in advance.
Peace

Many toshiba drives are locked at 2x when reading css protected media.
Its either that, or the fact that you dont have DMA enabled for your drive.

The other value for read rate is the CD equivalent.
