I'm having a problem following the DVD-9 to (2) DVD-r guide. I've ripped my movie with DVD decryptor. I've split the files into 2 folders (disc 1 & 2). The problem I'm running into is where do I get the VIDEO_TS.VOB file to add to both directories? I have every file except this one. If anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it. Thanx

U have to make 2 dvd's from it so that the 1st DVD has a Video_Ts.ifo and that the 2nd one has one.
I think u hava 2 dirs with vob files
Open IfoEdit and say for the 1st Dir "Create New Ifo's" and do the same for the 2nd one.
I hope it will work like that, normally it must !

Ok. All this I have done. But the problem is when you choose VOB extras from within Ifoedit and choose the "split to 2 dvdrs" option, then the create new ifo's option is by default not selected. I'm confused. I'm sitting here with 2 folders (disc 1 and disc 2) with no video_ts.vob files. But the guide is telling me to add this file to both discs. However, the .bup, .ifo, and .vob files are all here with the exception of the video_ts.vob files. This has got me stumped bad.

Does the original disk contain a video_ts.vob file? If so, use it (after decrypting), if not, don't worry about it, the file is not required unless the author put menus into the video manager group (vmg).

No, the original DVD disc doesn't have the video_ts.vob file. Now, I have split the files into 2 folders (disc 1, 2) and stripped the English audio stream and am now left with everything I should need. Now I open the video_ts.ifo for disc 1 and press get VTS sectors. I do the same for disc 2. Then I open up Nero and attempt to burn the files. It gives me a DVD reallocation error on the files. This is the third time I've tried and I have followed the guide precisely, but it doesn't work. The movie in question is Blood Work. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I finally got it to work. I had to burn the disc with Nero as a DVDROM/UDF/ISO compilation. It plays back with no trouble at all. So I guess I learned something :D

This shouldn't have been an ifoedit problem. It should've been in the burning DVD forum. I was just addressing this problem recently.
I've had numerous movies without video_ts.vob and other vobs at 0KB. Nero 5.5.9.17 didn't like these situations and I got reallocation errors.
I can burn these movies with...
...no video_ts.vob and all vobs at 0KB present in ImgTool 0.99.4 with reallocation unchecked.
or
...no video_ts.vob and no vobs at 0KB not present in ImgTool 0.994 with reallocation checked.
If you don't want ImgTool to burn directly, you can try to burn an image using it. At least if you're successful at getting an image burnt, then it's good to go to burn it in Nero.

There are plenty of post ont hat in the big Coujo post on ImgTool.
In fact, getting a Warning "No video_TS.vob" is just a warning, not an error.
If there is no in your original DVD, that's ok
If there is one, humm, you just forget something then.
Regarding Reallocate VIDEO_TS structure option, this is an option, and clearly, it does not work for many ifoedited, reauthored, CCEed, Ifoupdated DVDs..
If you did a good work with a get vts at the end, this is not a problem and you dvd burned will be OK.
