Not all of us have Adobe Photoshop running.
Could you either
- describe the effect better
OR
- send me your legal copy of Photoshop by postal mail, so that I can evaluate what you're talking about? :)

But, you forget to give me your credit card number.
Effect of "texture" like photoshop filter is:
Background is like net or some painting on linen.
It's iritate when you watch movie on monitor.

...reminds me of an effect produced by an avisynth filter called "blockbuster" when used in full strength(80~100).Are you using filters at all?

I think he talking about the grid effect... me and some others I know had this problem with old builds of XviD.
looks like this
|_|_|_|
|_|_|_|
|_|_|_|
Thats a rough example of what I used to see over the movie, but with newer builds the problem is not there, some others I know also mentioned its fixed for them to.
If this is not what you mean then ignor this. ;)

I think I know what you mean, and i reproduced that effect only when using the "fluxsmooth" avisynth filter in the processing chain (YV12).
Without that filter i don't see that effect, that leads me to the conclusion the filter is triggering it ;)

I found problem in ffdshow filter.
When I disabled xvid decoding in ffdshow, and instal last Koepi xvid bild XviD-29122002-1, there is no more problems.
Now I decoding with Xvid inline decoder, and pictures is OK.

Lemme point my finger to the "GMC". Didn't we tell not to use it, until it's ready?
