Is it possible to make your own audiodvd?
Can it be done?
I've tried to 'fill' an avi-file with no videostream but with a
48 khz/24 bit audiofile. But that's not a good way.
TIA

That does not really create a true DVD-A disc anyway. You know that AUDIO_TS folder that never seems to be used? THAT'S where DVD Audio discs have their data. You would need to use something like the DiscWelder software for creating DVD-A discs. Using the DVD authoring software mentioned in this forum will not make a DVD-A disc.

Thanks for the reply, TRILIGHT.
A chase for Discwelder then:-)
I've been looking for more info/experience on making an audio-dvd but it's very rare.

Yes, it is. While you're at it, you might also want to look into MLP (Meridian Lossless Packing). It allows for compression of your audio for DVD-A projects to fit more on the disc but, as the name suggests, it is completely lossless. Your audio will be an exact bit-for-bit respresentation of the original sample, unlike lossy compression schemes like Dolby Digital or DTS used in DVD Video projects.

Thanks for shedding a bit of light.
I tried some other software: VOB Instant ... it claimed to make audio-dvd, it just copied the wav-files and burned them on dvd:-(
Sonic DVD-Audio Creator 3.0 was too cryptic for me without a manual.
I've looked up Discwelder you mentioned before;
$3495.00 is quite a lot of money.
Well, on with the quest:-)
