Need help with subs in scenarist

Hi all, I am in need of some help with subtitles in scenarist. I have followd the guide using subrip 1.14, but when I try to put the subs into scenarist I get the following every time. I have tried everything I can think of including going through the forums looking for answers.

This is what I get when trying to put the subs into scenarist:


Error Can't find first sub-picture image file.[C:\DVD\SubRip\[ Skipped item nr. 1 ]]
Info Checking Subtitle File. Stream ID = 1, File = (D:\Working\VTS1\PGC1\red.sst)
Error The display area rectangle is inverted.
Error This pixel area top should be smaller than the bottom.
Error The display area does not match the pixel area.
Error The display area (Y2) should be smaller than 1.
Error Dimensions dump:
DisplayArea: X1=0, Y1=2, X2=-1, Y2=573
PixelArea: Top=0, Bottom=-1
SubTitleImage: Width=0, Height=0

Info ********* Error *********

Thanks in advance for any help with this problem. It is doing my head in. I am using PAL by the way if that matters.
