MakeWritable() in Avisynth 2.5?

Is MakeWritable() working correctly for YV12 data in Avisynth 2.5?
My experiments suggest that it is not. Please advise.

Which date is your alpha from?
MakeWritable hasn't been changed lately, and many filters are using it. BitBlt has been rewritten, but we'd probably see problems many other places if it was still buggy.

Are you using cache hints - this could - maybe - give problems.
