currently i use DVD2DVD-r to take care of the movies that need to be transcoded. it uses CCE 2.50 and then to author ifoedit 0.95.
but when i use this method i have to author the DVD in IFO using the "author DVD" menu, but the problem is that it will create a movie only DVD, and i would really like to keep the main menu.
i would like to use the original menus that came with the DVD, instead of creating new ones, therefore making the process faster and easier.
is it possible to do it with DVD Maestro?????

the guides on maestro and authoring dvd-9 to dvd-5 are numerous in this site. Also in the past months all the problems that could arise from this procedure have been dealt with.

I suggest to proceed with Maestro and search each problem that could arise.

Feel free to pm me if u find any situation that u cant figure out. I am using Maestro and ifoedit from the beggining.

i looked at the guide "dvd9 to DVD 5 full copy" but i did't read it!!!
the guide really answers to my question...
now... wouldn't it be nice if people started reading all the guides before posting here????

just tried and indeed it works fine.
the guide is a bit hard to understand but i managed to get it...
unfortunately the files ended up being bigger than 4.37 GB so i did a movie only DVD. doesn't matter just to know how to do that for next movies is good enough.
