Settings From CCE 2.50 To CCE 2.66.01.7 ?

Hi

Who can explain me how to transpose the settings of CCE 2.50 (used on the robshot tutorial) on the latest version of CCE (2.66.01.7).

Well my understanding is that "ditherewd quantisation" = anti-noise filter. "low pass filter" and "effect restricted vertical filter" are new. SO I disable all 3.

"quantizer characteristics" = image quality priority so set that accordingly.

Everything else is the same I think, even if the buttons are in different places.

Thats a great help m8, cheers, what about linear quantizer scale that is in 2.5 cant find it anywhere in 2.6, be kind im new to this.

To be honest I don't know, all I know is that the CCE help in 2.5 says:

"Select this check box if you want to use linear quantization scale,which is used in MPEG-1. Do not select this unless you have a special reason."

And the CCE 2.66 manual does not even include the word "linear".

So I'd just forget about it :)

I'm still using CCE 2.64. I tried 2.66 and they sayed it has better quality, but I made some few tests and I think that 2.50 and 2.64 are better. Maybe 2.66 must be well configured to get the best quality, but for me, 2.64 is enough.
