is it possible to take the 50 cent DIVX dvds (the ones released by circuit city) and decode them and then transcode them to dvd-rs?

they were origionally authored on dvds so i supose i could use dvd decrypter to rip them but then what codec or program could i use to encode them to mpge2 so i could put them on a dvd-r?

any info would be great!

thx in advance,

cure

he means DIVX, not DivX ;) www.doom9.org/glossary.htm

Short answer: no
Long answer: unless you manage to break the triple-DES encryption on these discs the answer is still no.
