Hi, I just wanted to report my experience ripping this movies.
I did a 1:1 backup of The Matrix and Swordfish with Ifoedit (with all the features, extras and menus).
When I burned the +RW disk I got the following Error from Nero with both DVD Movies:
23.12.2002
Compilation UDF/ISO
08:16:34 p.m. #1 Phase 112 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1574
DVD-Video files reallocation started
08:16:34 p.m. #2 DVDREALLOC -19 File DVDVideoCompilation.cpp, Line 1095
File size is not a multiple of a logical block size (2 KB)
08:16:34 p.m. #3 Phase 115 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1574
DVD-Video files reallocation failed
08:16:40 p.m. #4 Text 0 File Scsicmd.cpp, Line 402
SCSI not using temporary buffers
20 out of 20 temporary buffers allocated
This error I got it with IfoEdit versions:
0.88
0.91
0.95
And always got this error after GET VTS SECTORS. If I don't get VTS SECTORS, I don't get the message by Nero (both 5.5.9.17 and 5.5.10.0 versions). Yes, and the DVD is not playable.
But when I GET VTS SECTORS, The player shows DISC ERROR and POWERDVD XP shows INTERNAL ERROR too.
Well, then I tested Ifoedit 0.6 and DVD was burned without errors, but when I played it on my Standalone, it didn't played secuentialy (I'm referring to the Matrix, due to the Seamless Branching thing not supported by IfoEdit 0.6)
So what did I do?
I transcoded the movie with Rempeg, then use IfoEdit 0.95 for Remuxing and Stripping things and finally loaded IfoEdit 0.6 only for GET VTS SECTORS on every ifo file.
After this, I loaded Nero to burn the DVD+RW. The message error was different:
VTS_01_0.VOB is not mentioned in the IFO tables and must not be in this compilation. DVD compatibility function disabled. (or something like that)
This file is 0 Bytes lenght.
So I removed this file from the compilation and it worked perfect!
including the follow the white rabbit feature!
With SWORDFISH the history was the same, with the difference that I removed VTS_01_0.VOB and VTS_03_0.VOB from the compilation (0 bytes lenght both of them). If you don't remove this files, the DVD will not be playable.
I can't explain why IfoEdit 0.6 works better than newer versions to Get VTS SECTORS. But the difference I've found is that newer versions of ifoedit changed to sector 5 the first ifo file (or title, I'm not sure) and IfoEdit 0.6 changed the same file/title to sector 6, other sectors were the same. I couldn't find another differences...
I found this bug only with this movies.
