Hello all! My first time here.
My purpose is to make backups of my DVDs to divx-files and burn them to 700mb CD-Rs. I'm using DVD Decrypter, Bitrate calculator and DVD-X 2.0. Divx codec is 4.0. When I try to fit the 100min film to a 700mb CD the result is pretty ugly. I have to lower the bitrate as low as about 800 to keep the filesize right. Then the final result of the AVI-file is crappy(blocky). Why can't I get decent quality for AVI-files? And don't say, just fit them to 2 CDs 'cos I've downloaded Terminator-movie which was 570mb with excellent quality. Any ideas, pals? :confused:
