Hi, everyone!
I can already make fade out. BUT there is another problem. Can anyone solve me that?
PROBLEM
There goes here the script I've made:
clip=AviSource("F:\1.avi")
FadeOut(clip,100)
I open the VirtualDub with this script and I put the video and the audio in Direct Stream Copy. BUT the resulting file is so large that I can't save it and I want to save it in a 700Mb cd. When it makes the fade out it "jumps" frame a frame.
What advice would you give me so that the file can fit in a 700Mb cd and so that it doesn't "jump"? Can you teach me step by step what to do in VirtualDub?
Help me, please, because I'm getting desesperate and I don't know what to do...

Desperation is not an excuse for repeating existing posts and then crossposting the repeats!
What is the codec used and size of 1.avi?
What output compression are you choosing in VirtualDub?

I'm getting desesperate because I'm only starting in divx, I'm not a pro. But thanks for the reply. I appreciate that because I really need help.
I'm using codec divx 5.0.2.
The size is 691 Mb.
The output compression, well, I don't know what do you mean but I when I save the file I choose Direct Stream Copy both video and audio. If it isn't that what do you mean, please, could you explain me because I'm not very well familiarized with this terms, concepts.
I'm not English, so forggive me my English and the mistakes.

You have to recompress the video (divx or whatever) and audio (mp3) otherwise you will get a big uncompress wav. For video choose fast recompress (or full processing mode if you want to use filters in virtualdub), and select divx/xvid. For audio choose full recompress and select mp3 from the compression tab.

Quite right, Wilbert. Except you meant to say "full processing" for the audio.
Safigo, you have to select appropriate compression for the output AVI as Wilbert described.

First of all, thanks for the answers.
OK, I make Full Processing Mode both video and audio but I get a very large file (Gb of size). So, if I want that file fits in a 700Mb cd, what sould I have to do more?

After selecting "full processing" mode you would have to select the "compression" in the audio and/or video tab from where you would select and configure a codec.

1) You need to know the size of the resulting audio: open your original avi in vdub, and save your wav (in the filemenu). Rename the wav extension to mp3 (because it is actually a mp3 with a wav header).
2) Download a bitrate calculator (dooms download section, use the divx4 bitrate calculator), open your mp3 and select the size you want. It will give you the corresponding bitrate.
3) Enter the appropriate bitrate in the settings of divx/xvid.
4) Note if the bitrate is to low (say lower than 800 kb) use 2 cd's if necessary.
5) I hope this is enough info, you might want to check Dooms VirtualDub guides. For example this one (http://www.doom9.org/xvid-vdub.htm).
