hey just a question i was told by a a guy at a computer shop that he can burn an actuall dvd cd on a normall cdr burner just wanting to know is this true or what and if so how can i go about doing it?:confused:

hes probably talking about cDVD or miniDVD (same thing) in which case he's just a moron for misleading you :p
those formats are just DVD video streams authored and burned on a CD-R instead of a DVD-R. Thats great, except most standalones dont support this and the size of a CD is obviously much much less than that of a DVD, so you're already very limited by this approach.
If he was talking about VCD, then thats even worse, since its not DVD at all just a CD based video format which can be played on most dvd players.
