I am trying to rip "Best In Show". DVD Decrypter has a problem with one vob in particular (the 2nd vob of the main movie). I repeatedly get an I/O error. The disc is brand new and this is the first read error I have ever had (out of around 90 discs in total). Smartripper fairs no better. I guess this is probably due to the disc or the drive, but both appear to be in pristine condition. Any suggestions for improving my chances with this disc??

I descrambled region4 "Best In Show" without problems.
Have you authenticated?
/OFF TOPIC/
Due think Best In Show does justice to its predecessor This Is SpinalTap?
:)
EDIT: Don't trust smartripper's internal authentication. It doesn't seem to work, at least for me.

What error does DVD Decrypter throw up?
If the disc looks in A1 condition, it must be a manufacturing fault. Return the disc and have it replaced.
